Learn how to make the Island Bloom block, a modern Hawaiian inspired appliqued mini quilt with multiple layers of applique. In this workshop, you will learn how to prepare the applique (including folding, cutting and basting) and how to apply the motifs using needle-turn applique techniques. Learn how Sheri designed the block and how you can design custom templates for future projects. We’ll also review quilting tips. By the end of class, students will have most of the first layer basted and start practicing needle-turn applique.
