Sketchbook Quilting is Sarah's approachable, uninhibited, "no rules" style of free-motion quilting. In this fun hands-on class, you will become more comfortable with drawing your own style of free-motion designs and seeing them come to life on the fabric. You’ll turn these designs into multiple groupings and combinations by building off the foundation pieces Sarah will teach. In doing so, you’ll be ready to create your own set of personal “go to” designs, practice fillers, and also develop the muscle memory of drawing the doodles. You will practice transferring the sketchbook doodles to the quilt top. Sarah will also show you how to use a variety of rulers and stencils to help create basic shape and line guides for the doodling. This class will teach and encourage you to quilt without rules, thus making each finished quilt unique to your personal style and abilities.
