Curious about the Esprit Collection of Lancaster County Amish quilts? Join Lancaster History curator Victoria Pyle to learn more about this group of quilts. The group of quilts created by an agricultural, religious community found their way to California to inspire employees at a well known clothing design company. They then travelled the world and found their home in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania as a portion of a museum collection. The lecture will cover the origin story of the quilt collection and follow its journey across the United States. It will also discuss context of the Amish community in which the quilts originally were created.
