Cloudburst is based on a design rule that I often try to follow: design a block that interacts with adjacent blocks, so that it's not always clear where one block ends and the next begins. The use of colour helps to obscure the borders. This quilt was the first (and perhaps the last) full quilt I've paper-pieced.
