201 - The Bold Curve #1

Sunshine and warmth (thus colour and growth) are constantly on my mind and direct my creativity.
The Bold Curve started as an exercise to push myself out of my quilt design comfort zone (rulers and measurements) and resulted in my embracing curved, improv piecing. I gave myself guidelines: work from a 5-minute sketch; no appliqué or patterned fabric; play and be spontaneous with colour, transparency & shape; be bold!
