Inspired by a "turbine interchange" in Florida, Overpass uses two fabric colors and gridded quilting to suggest an inverse of the engineer's original design drafted on graph paper. Foundation paper piecing with curves emphasizes the symmetry and order that the original draft would have had before accommodating the land on which the interchange was ultimately constructed.
