Anyone who has traveled to Sedona, Arizona knows how splendidly beautiful the landscape is. I was struck with inspiration for this quilt on my last trip there after witnessing a gorgeous sunrise over the rocks. I machine pieced the sunrise background and the rocks separately. After which I hand appliquéd the rocks on to the "sunrise" and then quilted to enhance the design.
