When corals die, they turn white. That sad process is called bleaching. This quilt was made taking part in the Pantone Quilt Challenge 2019 using ‚Living Coral' as featured colour. I added grey fabrics, some prints, linen and shot cottons to add a lot of texture. I opted for improv log cabin blocks and created an ombre effect while playing with volume and colour. I free motion quilted geometric shapes that mirrored the block design.
