During making, this quilt became about, that fleeting, unrepeatable chance of a moment of time. Time gathering leaves on my walks from work to home for dyeing the fabric. Time watching the botanical life that surrounds me in an urban environment of concrete and steel. Time designing and sewing fabric, and then changing plans when my perspective changed. A time that is passed and unrepeatable, but captured in the fabric and stitches of my quilt.
