Flor de Maguey is a tribute to my husband's family from Mexico. The original design is inspired from the diamond points found in traditional Mexican Blankets and their bright textile colors. The elongation of the diamond point in represents the long flower of the the Maguey plant. Each element was cut and machine pieced, then machine quilted on a domestic machine and faced. There are several thread color changes in the machine quilting.
