This nine-patch pattern explores simple shifts: a change in block orientation, asymmetry, breaking boundaries and transparency. I had accidentally used muslin and instead of seam-ripping I decided to trust the process, get comfortable with the uncomfortable. Adding a layer of print underneath created depth and taught me the value of finding exploring solutions through additive techniques over removal of "mistakes."
