Jessy Sears is an All-Hazards Planner for Southeastern Idaho Public Health and serves as Planning Section Chief for one of Idaho's Incident Management and Assistance Teams (IMAST). Prior to her involvement in public health, she was a supervisor and training instructor for the Transportation Security Administration. Throughout her professional career, Jessy has been heavily involved in the development and execution of training and exercise programs. Her formal education aligns with her passion for homeland security and terrorism with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a Certificate of Specialization in Homeland Security. She also recently completed FEMA's National Emergency Management Basic Academy. She would like to note, she is a champion for the use of the Incident Command System (ICS) and has completed a ridiculous amount of FEMA's courses to increase her expertise in the subject.
