Dr.Ganesan has a medical degree with more than 20 years of medical and public health informatics experience. He has worked for 15 years with public health jurisdictions and CDC programs regarding public health surveillance. He is also a member of the CDC Global Rapid Response Team (GRRT) and participated in various CDC domestic and international emergency responses (Ebola, Zika). He is a subject matter expert in creating the standardized electronic survey forms using tools such as EpiInfo, ArcGIS Survey123, REDCap, CDC NEDSS Based Surveillance System (NBS) and Google. He has assisted Lee County Emergency Management Agency during the recent March 2019 Tornado regarding various informatics and GIS activities. He has taught FEMA preparedness Points of Dispensing Site (PODS) course for jurisdictions. He is working closely with jurisdictions regarding the development and implementation of electronic PODS Antibiotic Screening Form using survey tools such as ArcGIS Survey123 and REDCap. He holds a medical degree from India and various health informatics certificates (HL7).
