Emergency Readiness Specialist
MD Anderson Cancer Center
Angela Cone was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she was no stranger to flooding and tropical weather. She later spent time in Washington, DC and then in Los Angeles where she experienced earthquakes and fires. Upon returning to Texas, Angela began working at MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a hospital administrator, she was intimately involved in institutional emergencies, whether from weather outside or issues inside. She served as the onsite contact for incident command during many emergencies and developed an interest in preparedness. She now serves as an Emergency Readiness Specialist and addresses the preparedness needs of clinical operations across MD Anderson’s enterprise.
