Jocelyn Hover-Jeansonne is the Chemical Threat Response Laboratory Team Lead and Chemical Threat Coordinator for the Texas Department of State Health Services. She has been an analytical chemist for the past 17 years of which 13 years has been dedicated to public health laboratories. Jocelyn received her Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Philadelphia University and her Master’s of Public Health from New York Medical College, as well as Advanced Certificates in Emergency Preparedness and Industrial Hygiene. Jocelyn’s scientific background stems from the semiconductor industry and clinical chemistry. Over the last seven years her focus has been on chemical warfare agents, bio-toxins, and industrial chemical hazards which potentially pose risk to the population of Texas.
