Public Health Emergency Planner

Nick Kohlberg is the Public Health Emergency Planner for the St. Charles County Department of Public Health. His role is to protect the health of county residents and visitors in the face of everything from tornadoes to terrorism, and everything in between. He has been employed with the County since June 2015.
Nick is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he received a Master of Public Health degree in May 2015, with a concentration in Health Promotion and Policy. In his current position, he is responsible for writing and maintaining emergency operations plans; developing and participating in exercises; training staff and volunteers; and collaborating with community partners to ensure proper coordination before, during, and after disasters strike.
Nick was heavily involved in the development of Star-Spangled Fright, serving as the lead for the Planning Subcommittee and helping to manage play related to the Unified Health Command portion of the exercise.
