Senior Program Analyst

Geoffrey Mwaungulu Jr, JD, MPH is a Senior Program Analyst with the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) where he leads the organization’s public health law initiatives. In his work Geoff has sought to build the capacity of local health departments utilize law and policy in their everyday practice by focusing on issues impacting local communities including but not limited to local policy development, preparedness, legal epidemiology, and ethical decision-making. Prior to joining NACCHO, Geoff served as a Legal Analyst at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health’s Center for Public Health Practice where he focused on developing emergency preparedness legal tools. Geoff received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his graduate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health and School of Law. Geoff is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
