Linda Garcia has completed her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has conducted research at Baylor College of Medicine that focused in researching the cause of Mesoamerican neuropathy in Nicaragua and to develop a clinical definition for the local physicians. Since 2016 Linda works as an Epidemiologist at the City of Houston Health Department where she investigates Texas’ notifiable conditions and infectious disease outbreaks. In 2017, she had had an abstract presented at the Disease in Nature conference about a rare nematode infection.
