Research Data Scientist
I am a research data scientist working at VITO, a Research Institute based in Belgium, and focusing on the areas of cleantech and sustainability. Within the remote sensing unit, I am currently working as part of the MAPEO team, with this project aiming to provide an end-to-end image processing solution for drone-based phenotyping. Applications I am currently working on in this context include the incorporation of image metadata into workflows aimed at optimising the creation of orthoproducts, as well as using state-of-the-art object detection algorithms to better monitor plant traits.
I have completed a Bachelor of Environment at Macquarie University, in Sydney, Australia; and more recently have completed a Master of Science in Geography jointly awarded by the University of Leuven and the Free University of Brussels, both in Belgium.
