Presentation Description: Cellular systems (microorganisms, eukaryotic cells, plants) are the richest source of valuable products such as nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals and biologics. Biotechnological production of these compounds plays a huge role in global healthcare and nutrition. Cell disruption is one of the crucial steps during manufacturing, if the products are not secreted. Eficient extraction is, thus, a substantial part of obtaining these ingredients. Our innovative and proprietary MicroJet Reactor (MJR) Technology meets all of these requirements. Both steps can be downstreamed in single system, can be automated, can easily be upscaled, modified depending on special needs and adapted to the respective cell type and target product (small molecules, peptides, proteins). It operates continuously and efficiently. Cells of different species are suspended in water or used directly as fermentation broth. Cell disruption studies are performed using MJR technology with different settings (pressure, diameter, temperature, time) to improve cell disruption and extraction efficiency.
