Often people are promoted to management without the skills to effectively communicate and manage their teams to get results. Especially for women, there are additional barriers to being successful. Anchoring management and development plans to address priorities are critical to the organization’s success. Many people find themselves transitioning to a new manager or executive role and moving from doing the tasks to leading the tasks. Both tactical and strategic communication styles are essential to delivering results and achieving common objectives. This session will discuss the differences between tactical and strategic communications. In addition, it will provide the key factors to know which communication methods will achieve the desired objectives and complete the tasks, and evaluate different situations where one could be more advantageous than the other.
