VP, Drug Product Design Just-Evotec Biologics, Washington
The presentation will show data obtained from shipments of liquid protein formulations. This data will include information on the number and magnitude of shock events that can occur during transportation. Furthermore, the effect of these shock events on critical quality attributes like subvisible particle numbers of different liquid protein formulations will be discussed. An overview of the potential mechanisms that can cause stability problems after shock events and mitigation strategies will conclude the talk.
This presentation is a part of a 2-hr symposium under the general title "Can you handle it? Postproduction handling and administration of biologics" Moredator suggestion: Sreedhara Alavattam, Principal Scientist at Genentech
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the risks for proteinaceous drug product quality and safety that can emerge from shock events during transportation.
Upon completion, participants will be able to select approaches for control and tracking of the transportation shock history of proteinaceous drug products.
Upon completion, participants will be able to define strategies for quality and safety risk mitigation during transportation of proteinaceous drug products.
