Sr. Group Leader
Krishna K. Midde, Ph.D., is a Senior Group Leader at the PPD bioanalytical lab in Richmond. In this role, he supervises and provides technical leadership on scientific development and validation projects. Dr. Midde also provides guidance on specialty technologies studies, and performs troubleshooting for instruments, methods, procedures, and also aids in writing reports and SOPs. During his time at PPD, he has led a team in development and validation of ligand binding assays on ELISA, MSD, Ella, Luminex and Quanterix platforms, been a principal investigator on several production projects with aggressive timelines, and served as internal consultant for project management and technologies advancement.
Before Dr. Midde joined PPD, he was a scientist at Ventana Medical Systems in Tucson, AZ. Dr. Midde contributed to companion diagnostics (CDx) development for mesothelioma, B cell lymphoma and NSCLC using the Gyros Immunoassay platform. He also managed biotherapeutics candidacy through Octet Bilayer Interferometry and SPR technology. In this role, he was involved in Design of Experimentation (DoE), gage R&R study, and process capability (CPK) analysis in Minitab. Dr. Midde performed risk assessment for product development and executed GMP and GLP practices, and complete product life cycle management under FDA guidelines.
