Vaishali Shinde is an Associate Director and leads the Molecular Pathology group in the Clinical Biomarker Innovation and Development organization at Takeda. She received her first master’s degree in microbiology from India and second master’s degree in Biological Science/Biotechnology from University of Massachusetts. Her 20-year journey in the field of cancer therapy started in the USA with Boston University School of Medicine in the Urology department. She has been with Takeda for over 14 years, focusing on oncology discovery projects, translational and clinical biomarker strategies for development projects. Vaishali manages the Molecular Pathology group responsible for clinical biomarker assays, evaluation of new multiplex staining and spatial analysis technologies. Her primary role is to implement tissue-based biomarker patient selection, pharmacodynamic and immune-profiling assays for Takeda’s Oncology, Immuno-Oncology, GI, CNS and Rare disease Phase I to III human clinical trials.
