Nobel Vale is a Research Scientist II from Bristol-Myers Squibb since 2012. He was part of the upstream process development group and responsible for optimizing cell culture bioreactor processes to increase productivity. He transitioned internally to the department of Drug Product Development under the subgroup Engineering Technologies and still works closely with BMS’s upstream groups to enable the use of continuous process monitoring techniques and real-time analytics. He is also part of a team that is evaluating innovative digital technologies, such as AR/VR, in the laboratory space.
Nobel earned his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University (2009). Prior to BMS, he worked at a start-up called 3D Biotek, a company that develops 3D cell culture devices for stem cell/tissue engineering and drug discovery applications.
