Dr. Olanrewaju Okusanya, Pharm.D, MS, BCPS, is a Clinical Pharmacology Team Leader for the Division of Cancer Pharmacology I in the Office of Clinical Pharmacology at the U.S Food and Drug Administration. Olanrewaju received his Pharm.D. from Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Houston, TX , completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a Masters degree in Pharmacometrics and a Pfizer/University of Buffalo Drug Development Fellowship at the University of Buffalo. He worked for the Institute for Clinical Pharmacodynamics, in Albany, NY, leveraging pre-clinical and Phase 1 data for dose selection and optimizing dosing regimens for patients as well as providing translational and investigational PKPD guidance for the development of novel therapeutics. Upon joining the FDA, he has reviewed multiple applications developing anti-cancer therapies as well as drugs to treat malignant and non-malignant hematology diseases. He has worked extensively with hematology products (malignant and non-malignant) including biosimilars, dealing with regulatory issues that arise with small molecules and biologics from a clinical pharmacology perspective.
