Jessica Neil received her Master of Science focused on molecular genetics from the University of Cincinnati in 2005. After briefly working in academics she entered the commercial research field at Cognosci Inc. in RTP, NC studying neuroscience and the role of mimetic peptides in Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis therapeutics for 7 years. Employment at Stiefel, a Glaxo-Smith Kline owned company introduced her to skin biology where she worked as a Senior Scientist in the Center for Skin Biology developing models and assays for the evaluation of compounds for autoimmune disease states of the skin including psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Following this experience, she was hired as Senior Scientist by MP Pharma Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of MedPharm Ltd. In RTP, NC. There she has advanced to Director of Tissue Culture with the successful implementation of multiple inflammatory models for the preclinical evaluation of topical formulations for both novel and generic equivalency testing to de-risk clients prior to clinical trial.
