Hello, my name is Navid J. Ayon and I am a PhD student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. I have a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, a Masters degree in Pharmacuetics and a Masters degree in Chemistry. My PhD research focus is on antibacterial drug discovery using chemical librariy screening approach and LC-MS/MS based analysis of small and macromolecules of both endogenous and exogenous origin. My major projects encompass high throughout screening of pre-metabolized chemical library, identification of activie antibaterial drug metbaolites, metabolomics and protoemics and pharmaceutical formulation assessment (DMPK). I am experienced in discovery workflow establishment including drug library screening, microsomal drug metabolism, omics based mechanistic study, microbiological and biochemical characterization, LC-MS based separation and quantitation of diverse exogenous and endogenous molecules such as drug and drug metabolites, amino acids, peptides, proteins, nucleosides and nucleotides, hormones, vitamins, water contaminants etc.
