ANDRELLA E KING
Andrella King is a recent graduate of MCPHS University with a PhD in Pharmaceutics and minor in Pharmacology. She also earned a M.S degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.
She has taught both Inorganic and Organic Chemistry as an Adjunct Professor at Roxbury Community College (RCC) and Northern Essex Community College (NECC) for several years. More recently, she served as a Pharmaceutics Instructor at MCPHS University.
At RCC, in addition to duties as an adjunct instructor, she was the STEM Grants Coordinator for the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) grant and the Bridges to the Baccalaureate (Bridges) grant. For these, she recruited students for STEM internships, coordinated Biotech Workshops, coordinated Facilitated Study Groups in STEM courses and mentored students.
Her experience includes work in the medical diagnostic industry as a senior process engineer for both reagents and sensors for a blood gas analyzer.
At Northeastern University, she was initiated into the National Engineers Honor Society (Tau Beta Pi). She is also a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).
Community work includes tutoring K-12 grade students in Math and Sciences.
