Dr. Debadyuti (Rana) Ghosh is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Molecular Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin (UT). He received his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and his PhD in Bioengineering from Rice University, where he did his thesis work with Dr. Michael Barry to engineer viral vectors for targeted gene delivery. He completed postdoctoral studies with Angela Belcher at MIT, where he focused on the development of virus-assembled nanoscale materials for imaging of solid cancers. At UT, his lab is interested in engineering and use of biological materials to overcome the extracellular and intracellular barriers presented by diseases for gene and drug delivery. Research is supported by the NIH and PhRMA.
