Dr. Anshika Kapur is employed as a postdoctoral fellow in the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She graduated with Ph.D. in Chemistry from Florida State University in 2018. Majority of her doctoral research focused on understanding the interaction of nanoparticles with biological systems to gain fundamental insight into the complexities of the bio-nano interface. Currently, she is working towards developing polymeric nanoparticle-based drug delivery strategies to address major challenges limiting their application in cancer treatment. In particular, she is involved in development of tumor penetrating Fn14-directed drug loaded nanoparticles for actively targeting primary breast and brain metastases.
