I was born and raised in Pune, India. I received a BS in Pharmacy in June 2016. Then I got admitted to the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), School of Pharmacy Ph.D. program in August 2016. I am a graduate student in Ashim K. Mitra's laboratory. I have received several awards like Richard and Paula Johnson, School of Pharmacy Award for Excellence in research 2018, UMKC School of Graduate Studies Travel Grant for attending AAPS 2018 annual conference and the Graduate Assistant Fund (GAF) for Outstanding Merit in March 2018 for my research. I have three publications in press. I am the vice-president of Control Release Society (CRS) and treasurer of AAPS UMKC Student chapters 2018-19. I have maintained a GPA of 3.8. I can witness my career being shaped and my personality constantly being improved here at UMKC SOP.
I strongly believe in learning and constantly advancing my skills. My ultimate goal is to contribute my bit in curbing the menace of diseases. I have always believed in a research which has clinical applications and which is not limited to the labs. Designing drug delivery Systems for eye diseases like AMD is my research and educational goal.
