Dr. Haidar is currently Senior Science Advisor, in the Office of Study Integrity and Surveillance (OSIS), US Food and Drug Administration. He received a B.S. degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a B.S. in Pharmacy and Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore. Prior to assuming his current position in OSIS, Dr. Haidar held the positions of Branch Chief, and Deputy Division Director, (DGDBE). Other positions included Lead Pharmacologist in the Office of Generic Drugs (OGD), Pharmacometrics Scientist and Clinical Pharmacology Reviewer in the Office of Clinical Pharmacology and Biopharmaceutics. Dr. Haidar has served as Project Officer for several FDA-funded research projects which resulted in new policies and recommendations. Examples include Highly Variable Drugs: Scaled Average Bioequivalence (BE), Impact of Excipients on BE of BCS Class 3 Drugs, use of Neural Networks in PK-PD modeling, and others. His research activities and collaborations produced over twenty publications and a book chapter. Additionally, Dr. Haidar represented the FDA in a scientist-exchange program with the Medical Products Agency in Sweden.
