Sterile Compounding Clinic: Designing Hand Hygiene and Garbing Standard Operating Procedures

This session will provide attendees with a comprehensive review of best practices for donning and doffing sterile gloves and other compounding garb. The session provides live demonstration and hands-on instruction for the garbing process. Attendees will also be able to speak to when and where hand hygiene and garbing must occur per requirements of USP Chapter .
Describe current and possible future <797> standards and procedures for hand hygiene and garbing.
Define the areas where hand hygiene and garbing occur.
Identify considerations when developing a standard operating procedure (SOP) for hand hygiene and garbing.
Observe and perform donning of sterile gloves and cleanroom garb.
