Friday, April 3, 2020

Location: LinQ - Social B
Many high-risk individuals are not identified and appropriately managed in the setting of busy surgical and primary care practices; as evidenced by sales of Direct to Consumer genetic kits, patients are interested in assessing their risks. Enhanced surveillance for early detection of breast cancer and risk reducing medications are markedly underutilized. Further, a dedicated high-risk clinic allows for enhanced surgical productivity while providing a specialized service.
Learning Objectives:
Define a high-risk clinic – identification and management of high-risk patients
Review evidence based high-risk guidelines for risk management
Understand the importance of estimating and managing breast cancer risk
