Delays in breast cancer treatment have only recently become a topic of interest for quality of care and they impact clinical outcomes. This topic is one that is particularly important to both the patient and the clinical team. This lecture will review current data regarding delays in breast cancer treatment and how such delays affect survival in patients having breast cancer.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to understand how preoperative delays affect patient outcomes.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the effects of delays in clinical practice.
Upon completion, participants will be able to determine ideal times for treatment of breast cancer.
