Julie Taylor has a Masters in Library Science from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is an Outreach Librarian at Mayo Clinic Libraries, Rochester, MN. She provides research support and consultation to Mayo Clinic clinicians, students, and researchers including training on use of library literature databases and tools to keep up-to-date on current literature. She provides library orientations and group classes as well as one-on-one sessions for in-depth research projects.
Julie is a key member of the Library’s new branding project that involves creating new library media designs and materials. As an outreach librarian, Julie creates presentations, displays, and unique opportunities to highlight the resources, services, and distinctive spaces of the Mayo Clinic Libraries.
Before becoming the Research/Outreach Services Librarian at the Plummer Library, Julie worked at the Patients’ Library at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester and in public libraries in Chicago.
Julie enjoys paddling kayaks, canoes, and dragonboats. She has paddled with her dragonboat team in Florence, Italy and looks forward to paddling at the next international festival in New Zealand in 2022.
