Gail Betz, MLIS is a Research, Education and Outreach Librarian at the University of Maryland's Health Sciences and Human Services Library in Baltimore. In this role, she works primarily with the School of Social Work. She attended the Institute of Research Design in Librarianship at Loyola Marymount University in 2019 with a research question on the hiring experiences of disabled academic librarians. This lightning talk will discuss the beginning of that project, both the literature review that preceeded it and how qualitative methods were chosen.
