This half-day workshop will provide an overview of stream restoration using natural channel design techniques. Specifics of how projects are designed, constructed, installed and maintained will be covered with a focus on soil stabilization and erosion prevention. Case studies of restoration projects will also be reviewed.

Learning Objectives:

Have a better understanding of Natural Channel Design Stream Restoration Methodology and Approach.
Develop a list of tasks that should be completed in order to develop a planting plan and stabilization plan for a stream restoration project.
Have an understanding of the design and construction of structures made from rock, logs and plant material that can be used to stabilize streambanks and enhance stream and riparian habitat.
