This case study will focus on the closure of a landfill in the Southeastern US with several issues to overcome. Landfill closures, in general, offer a unique set of obstacles that make successful closure difficult. Suitable "Topsoil" is often a pivotal component to the successful reclamation of landfills and when availability of quality topsoil is a concern alternative technologies must be considered. In this presentation we will outline the site assessments required to determine the suitability and need for Biotic Soil Technologies, specifying appropriate materials and their sequencing, the execution of the plan and the outcome of the project.
