Are you still planning to have the 2020 Annual Seminar? Yes, the Seminar will take place September 14-16, 2020, as scheduled, but has moved to a virtual experience.
Is IASIU considering streaming any of its sessions? Yes, we have moved to a strictly virtual format for all sessions and events.
Can speakers present via video? Yes. Confirmed speakers will be contacted with information on how to present their sessions in the new virtual format.
Will I receive a refund if I don't want to participate in the new virtual conference? All current registrants will receive adjustment to any registration fees currently paid for the prior in-person rate. For those who wish to cancel completely, a full refund will be issued. To manage your current registartion and request a partial or full refund, please complete this form.
I am unable to attend. Can I transfer my registration to a colleague? Yes, IASU registrations can be transferred to another IASIU member by emailing the office at email@example.com.
What changes will there be to the format of the meeting? A complete schedule can be found here. The days and times of the Seminar are:
Monday, September 14: 11:00 am CT to 5:00 pm CT
Tuesday, September 15: 9:00 am CT to 5:30 pm CT
Wednesday, September 16: 9:00 am CT to 1:00 pm CT
Sessions will run concurrently, with time built in for breaks, networking and opportunities to connect with exhibitors and sponsors.
What if I only want to participate in certain parts of the event? While we are planning a full schedule of "must see” sessions, we understand that other priorities may call upon your time. You can logout and rejoin sessions at any point during the day. An “all in one” registration fee applies to the IASIU virtual seminar. Price adjustments for partial attendance are not available.
How can I maximize my networking experience at the virtual event? We will have dedicated time, breakouts and more to encourage networking in the virtual meeting environment. While the specifics are being finalized, to enhance your experience ensure that your profile is up to date, be open to connect with other attendees via video chats, joining in on the chat discussions during sessions and more. More tips and tricks will be shared as the event draws closer to help you make the most of this crucial part of your IASIU experience.
Will CE credits be offered? Yes, attendees can earn 20 CE credits towards their CIFR, CIFI, CIFA. State-specific CE will be offered for California, Florida and Texas for attendance of the live sessions. Please review individual sessions to see if state-specific CE credit will be offered.
Will the CIFI Prep Course be offered this year? Yes, those registered for the virtual seminar are welcome to attend the CIFI Prep Course on Wednesday, September 16 from 1:30 - 3:30pm CT.
I’m registered. How to I access the virtual content? Prior to the start of the seminar, all registrants will receive information on how to access the virtual platform. No software download will be required.
What should I do about my hotel reservation at the Dallas Sheraton? The Dallas Sheraton will cancel all room reservations that have been made to the room block. Each person will receive a cancellation email generated from the booking system. If you do not receive an email confirmation from the hotel, you should contact that Dallas Sheraton at (214) 922-8000 to confirm that your reservation has been cancelled.
