Earn CIFI, CIFA, and CIFR Continuing Education credits
As in previous years, attendees who are registered for the IASIU Annual Seminar are eligible to earn credits towards their CIFI, CIFA, and CIFR renewals. This year, qualifying attendees will receive 20 continuing education credits for attending the virtual sessions. IASIU will automatically add these credits to your profile.
Earn state-specific Continuing Education credits
(CA, FL, OK, TX)
IASIU has received approval to provide continuing education credits to investigators licensed in California, Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas. A special notation in the session description will indicate a state’s approval of qualifying credits that can be used for licensing purposes.
Following the seminar, IASIU will submit a report to states for their review. States will grant credits based on attendance and participation data contained that report. If you are looking to earn state-specific CE credits, please complete this short form to help the states verify your account.
Attendance and Participation required to earn state-specific credits
Attendees must attend live sessions in order to earn state-specific CE credits - watching the recording does not qualift. Attendees earn credits based upon session attendance for each half day of the seminar. In addition, during the session attendees will need to demonstrate active participation by responding to ‘pop-up polls’ randomly delivered throughout the presentation. The seminar technology will log both session attendance and poll responses to monitor qualifying earned CE credits.
For example, to earn 4 CE credits for Tuesday morning, members will need to attend one 9:00am session and one 11:00am session. Attendance is determined by session login and logout timestamps. Session participation is determined by pop-up poll completion. Multiple polls will be randomly presented to session attendees; all polls must be completed to qualify for earned credits.
To avoid missing out on credits be sure to pay attention to session login time, session logout time, and poll completions. Credit is not available for single session attendance. If you are unable to attend all session times during a half day, credit will not be given for any of the sessions you attend during that half day.
