Helen N. Hu, P.E.

Helen is a registered civil engineer with over 16 years of experiences in the wastewater industry. She is currently a Senior Civil Engineer in the O&M Section at the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (Regional San). Helen is responsible for overseeing and standardizing the section’s training program, annual budget development, workforce management and succession planning, and various labor relations efforts. Her area of expertise include business administration, labor relations, asset management, policy and planning, climate change, recycled water, and regulatory compliance related to NPDES, Title 22, air quality, and solid waste. Helen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Helen currently serves as the Secretary on the CWEA's Northern Regional Committee.
