Lessons Learned Rehabilitating a 105” Sewer Interceptor
The District’s $13 million, 3rd Street Interceptor Project in Oakland included sliplining 4,700 feet of 105-inch diameter interceptor sewer. Construction was planned over two years using five jacking pits. The contractor completed the work in only one year with three pits. Costs savings were 30% from previous crown lining methods.
