PureWaterSF, a building-scale direct potable reuse demonstration facility, employed UF/RO/UV AOP to treat tertiary recycled blackwater from the 900-person San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) headquarters building. Key issues for decentralized potable water reuse were investigated and will be presented, including those related to operation, maintenance, performance, and monitoring.
