Colin S. Moy has over 30 years experience in environmental compliance of industrial and municipal wastes and wastewater. Since 2006, he has worked at EBMUD's small municipal treatment plants and drinking water treatment plants at their recreation areas and Main Wastewater Treatment Plant in Oakland. He maintains applicable multimedia permits for federal, state, and local agencies, conducts internal audits, provides refresher training, and supports public outreach to the community. He has been a board member of the Central Valley/Sierra Foothills Chapter of the California Section of WateReuse for several years and presented papers on a WateReuse Foundation grant pilot project for water quality impacts of recycled water. He is currently the trucked waste program coordinator and responsible for permitting, enforcement, and compliance of hauled wastes for co-digestion.
He has a B.S. in chemistry and M.S. in chemmical oceanography. His previous experience includes USEPA investigations and remediation of Superfund sites, emergency response to hazardous waste releases, corporate merger and acquistions due diligence assessments, preparation of environmental planning documents, and multimedia environmental monitoring at a large oil refinery/industrial complex in Saudi Arabia.
