Moritz C. Wyler von Ballmoos, MD, PhD, MPH is the Director of Robotic Cardiac & Vascular Surgery and an Assistant Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center. His primary interests are in structural heart disease, minimally-invasive & robotic surgery, transcatheter technology, advanced imaging, and healthcare quality. With a background in statistics, epidemiology, and over 15 years of research experience, Dr. Wyler von Ballmoos is actively involved in multiple device trials, widely published and cited in the peer-reviewed literature, and a sought-after faculty at international meetings. He is the recipient of numerous awards for his research or teaching efforts, and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. Dr. Wyler von Ballmoos holds multiple leadership positions within STS, EACTS, and ACC.
