Dr. Faisal Latif is an interventional cardiologist at SSM Health Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from King Edward Medical College in Pakistan in 2000 after which he completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at University of Oklahoma, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
His clinical interests include complex percutaneous coronary interventions and CTOs, endovascular interventions, carotid stenting and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He is an author of over 40 peer-reviewed publications in addition to many book chapters, and serving as an associate editor for upcoming books in Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Latif is an investigator on multiple clinical trials. His research interests include endovascular techniques for vascular interventions for critical limb ischemia and innovative techniques for complex coronary interventions. In recognition of his research accomplishments, he was awarded Provost’s Research Award for 2015 by the University of Oklahoma.
He is the chair of Quality Improvement Committee of SCAI, and is the immediate past president of Oklahoma chapter of American College of Cardiology. Additionally, he completed a one year "Faculty Leadership Program” at the OU Health Sciences Center in 2013.
Dr. Latif is Board Certified in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.
