Mr. Waqas Haque, MPH MPhil is a fourth year med student at UT Southwestern Medical School who recently completed an MPH from Johns Hopkins through the Sommer Scholarship and completed a master’s degree from the business school at Cambridge University in England prior to medical school. At Johns Hopkins, he was a research assisstant in the Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, working under Dr. Mike Blaha's group and completing a number of projects related to Coronary Artery Calcium scoring and cardiovascular burden in South Asian populations. He is interested in entrepreneurship, reducing the cost of care, and drug development.
