Adriana is a soil microbiologist who works at the intersection of ecosystem ecology and evolution. Her research objective is to provide knowledge that will help us plan and mitigate the effects of global warming on Earth, while answering long-standing questions on microbial adaptation strategies and ecosystem-level consequences on biogeochemical cycles. She will be starting as an Assistant Professor in New Mexico State University in Fall 2020 and she is currently a Diversity & Innovation Scholar at the University of New Hampshire. Adriana's mother tongue is Spanish and she authored a commentary for Science Magazine: "Review with care".
